			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Take a look out on the showroom floor of any 100-car dealerships around the country and you would probably be lucky to find 75 car saleswomen. What was typically a profession that was once considered suitable only for a man is slowly changing, but it is changing. Ten or fifteen years ago you would have been lucky to find 10 women <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/a-career-selling-cars/">selling cars for a living</a> at those same dealers and five years from now that number might triple or more. With that said the question that is being asked is who makes a better car salesperson? Is it a man or a woman? Ask an old school veteran and there is no doubt that he will say that a man would be a much better car salesman, but if you ask a woman that has been selling cars for years she will likely say that the woman can be a better car salesperson. So which is it?</p>
<h2><strong>Selling Cars – Male or Female</strong></h2>
<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-2391" title="best-car-salesperson" src="http://carsalesprofessional.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/best-car-salesperson.jpg" alt="The Best Car Salesperson-Man-Woman" width="256" height="169" />Some people today may say that a woman might have an even better chance of being a top salesperson if she had the experience, but others say that a man is better at negotiating. You didn’t think I would be stupid enough to pick one over the other did you? I have worked with women in the car business that were absolutely remarkable at their job and quite successful that included floor sales, F&amp;I, sales managers, GSMs and GMs and I don’t think there is an answer. I have seen some women that were better than others and I have seen men that couldn’t sell a car if their life depended on it. Although I must admit that I think that a woman with the experience and the determination to succeed could do very well in every department at the dealership.</p>
<p>I really don’t think gender matters when it comes to selling cars professionally. The person is what makes the difference not their sex. Some say that the woman in a family makes the final decision when it comes to purchasing a vehicle so a woman would be a better choice, but I have seen men that can connect with women just as well as any woman. Others say that if the man is dead set against the purchase his other half won’t need to make the decision to buy.  However not every customer is a couple. Buying a car is not a job best done by a man today like it was yesterday. I have sold cars to many women that were much tougher to deal with than most men.</p>
<h2><strong>Agree to Disagree on the Best Car Salesperson</strong></h2>
<p>This debate could go on forever. There may be pluses and minuses on both sides of the fence, but when it comes right down to it there are many factors and skills that make a top salesperson and I don’t believe that being a man or a woman matters. Whether you are male or female you likely have your own opinions on who would make a better car salesman or <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/the-car-sales-woman-time/">car saleswoman</a>, but talk is cheap and the proof is in the results. So lets sell a bunch of cars, have some fun doing it and may the best car salesperson win.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: left;">How often do you run into a <em><strong>car sales woman</strong></em>? Not too often it&#8217;s sad to say.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The field of <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/a-career-selling-cars/">selling cars for a living</a> has been dominated by men since the beginning of car sales and it&#8217;s time for a change. I know many women in the business and they make great car saleswomen, F &amp; I Managers, Sales Managers and yes, even General Managers. Maybe it&#8217;s the stigma that goes along with <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/being-a-car-salesman-or-saleswoman/">being a car salesman</a> the holds back some women from entering a <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/a-career-selling-cars/">career in car sales</a> or maybe it&#8217;s common misconception that men make better car sales people. Whatever it is it&#8217;s time to cast aside those old beliefs from the past and get some women selling cars and other <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/automobile-sales-careers/">automobile sales careers</a>.</p>
<h2 style="text-align: left;">You Should Be a Car Sales Woman</h2>
<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/car-sales-woman.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-938" title="car-sales-woman" src="http://carsalesprofessional.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/car-sales-woman.jpg" alt="Professional Car Sales Woman" width="250" height="160" /></a>It is said that women are responsible for making many more car buying decisions than men, so wouldn&#8217;t it make sense to have more women selling cars. I have run into female car buyers before that only want to work with a car sales woman because they feel more comfortable talking to and dealing with another woman. Think about that for a second, if a woman has the courage to say she only wants to work with a woman car sales person there must be many more that would never say it, but would also like to be taken care of by a car saleswoman.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">Why a Car Saleswoman &#8211; Women Selling Cars</h3>
<p style="text-align: left;">To be a professional car salesman or car saleswoman and make a <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/six-figure-income-car-salesman-income/">six figure income</a> there are many skills and talents that are needed. One of these talents is to get your car buyer to open up to you and talk. You need to find their reasons and true motivation for buying a car and you won&#8217;t be able to do that if you can&#8217;t get them to open up to you. You also need to make your customer feel comfortable making a big purchase and we all know that if they don&#8217;t feel comfortable they won&#8217;t pull the trigger. A good car saleswoman may even have advantage in this area because the car buying public does not see the woman car sales person as a threat as much as they do men. They are more prone to talk and open up to a women selling cars than they are to a car salesman. Once you can get them to open up and start talking they will tell you how to sell them a car.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Don&#8217;t get me wrong here a <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/be-a-better-car-salesman/">good car salesman</a> can get close to a customer, but a good car sales woman may have a slight advantage. We all know that being a <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/successful-car-salesman-thinks/">successful car salesman</a> or car saleswoman is not for everyone and it takes much more than being male or female. However, I believe that skill and experience levels being equal women selling cars may have a slight advantage when it comes to selling automobiles and <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/car-sales-prospecting/">prospecting</a>. Don&#8217;t get mad at me guys, I am just calling it like it see it.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Have your considered <em><strong>being a car salesman</strong></em>? There are a lot of misconceptions, lies, opinions and rumors about being a car salesman, but the negatives ones that I have heard and tracked down usually come from people that could not live on their <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/six-figure-income-car-salesman-income/">car salesman income</a>. This is not very unusual because there are many people that enter and leave a <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/a-career-selling-cars/">career in car sales</a> every year.</p>
<p>I have sold cars to many people that would tell me that they sold cars before and when I ask them more about their <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/a-career-selling-cars/">car sales career</a> I find out that they had a hard time making a consistent income. I am not talking about these people, stories and rumors to scare anyone from being a car salesman or <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/the-car-sales-woman-time/">car saleswoman</a>. In fact I am a big fan of a <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/a-career-selling-cars/">career in car sales</a>. I think it is one of the best ways to make a <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/six-figure-income-car-salesman-income/">six figure income</a> and have some fun at the same time.</p>
<h3>Being A Car Salesman or <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/the-car-sales-woman-time/">Car Sales Woman</a> &#8211; You Can Too!</h3>
<p>Many people could sell cars for a living and do quite well if they understood the car business better and that is one of the reasons our blog <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com">Car Sales Professional</a>. Many people think that in being a car salesman means that you need to have the &#8220;Gift of Gab&#8221; or to be a very social and talkative person. That is not the case when it comes to selling cars. In many cases new sales people that talk too much will very often talk themselves out of a sale before they knew what happened. Talking is a very small part of the overall communication between <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/a-career-selling-cars/">the car salesman</a> and the customer.</p>
<p>Being a car salesman does not require any specialized skills, it just requires you to have an open mind and be willing to learn the car business. Any car dealership that you sell for will have a <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/the-house-car-sales-training/">car sales training</a> system that they use because it works for them. <h3>Being a Car Salesman is Not for Everyone</h3>
<p>You will find that <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/a-career-selling-cars/">car sales career</a> is not for just anybody, it takes a certain type of person to be a <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/successful-car-salesman-thinks/">successful car salesman</a>. One thing that scares most people away from being a car salesman is way that the sales person gets compensated. To many people the idea of getting paid a <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/car-salesman-commission/">commission</a> for their sales results is just too scary for them. They want to know exactly what they are getting paid each week. Sure it would be nice to receive a fixed amount each week or month, but if worked a little harder and closed an extra sales or two every month you might be able to to earn an extra $1000 or more each month.</p>
<p>Being a car salesman gives you the ability to control the amount <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/six-figure-income-car-salesman-income/">car salesman income</a> you receive and that is my favorite part. Working a little harder as an automobile salesman doesn&#8217;t require much, maybe a couple more phone calls or a couple more ups each week and you have the potential to earn an extra couple of thousand dollars that month. I said work a little harder, but it is really about working smarter. As a car sales person you use your words, your pen and your head to make more money, there isn&#8217;t any physical labor involved. I love the car business for the ability to make as much money as you want and the varied <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/automobile-sales-careers/">automobile sales careers</a>. You can give yourself a raise with very little effort, that alone is reason enough to <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com">become a car salesman</a>.</p>
<h3>Being a Car Salesman is a Great Career</h3>
<p>You will notice that the top sales people and the bottom sales people use the same system, the difference is the sales person. Being a car salesman or car sales woman or should I say the top salesman requires a positive attitude, a desire to succeed and going the extra mile by learning all you can learn about selling cars. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Get a &#8220;Fresh Up&#8221; on the lot and what do they say &#8220;Just Looking&#8221; or &#8220;We are not buying today, we are just looking&#8221;.</p>
<p>Of course they are just looking, at least until you give them a reason why they should buy a car from you and your dealership. They are testing the waters and putting up the classic barriers to keep you from getting too close. If you watch a new or average car salesperson approach a customer and they say those dreaded words you see the impact that it has on <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/a-career-selling-cars/">the car salesman</a>.Â  Almost instantly you can see their posture and expression change. The customer just knocked the wind out of their sails. The loose their steam and the chances of selling this customer a car is probably been reduced by at least 50%.</p>
<h3>Just Looking the First Defense Against <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/a-career-selling-cars/">the Car Salesman</a></h3>
<p>This is the reaction that most car buyers want to get from a car salesman when they tell them they are not buying today. They think that you are not going to try and sell them a car if they tell you they are just looking. They really do believe that you will back off and believe it or not some sales people do back off. They give up in their head before they even got started. The <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/be-a-better-car-salesman/">good car salesman</a> understands that these are simply tools that the car buyer uses to try and remain in control. The <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/successful-car-salesman-thinks/">successful car salesman</a> will not even flinch when the car shopper says they are just looking, they won&#8217;t skip a beat and with a big smile they say &#8220;That&#8217;s great, now that you have taken all the pressure off of me let&#8217;s take a look at some cars&#8221; and then they continue to move through the steps of the sale.</p>
<p>Just looking is what you will hear from most car buyers when you first greet them, but that is the better than the big mouth that walks in the door and asks &#8220;Who wants to sell a car today&#8221;. When the customer is just looking it really means that they are looking for a professional car salesman or <a href="http://carsalesprofessional.com/being-a-car-salesman-or-saleswoman/">car saleswoman</a>. They want someone that knows what they are talking about, not overbearing or pushy.</p>
